Ethical Choices
I have this teacher who is probably the coolest below 40 year old adult in the world. Well, we took our exam yesterday so now we have a month of doing nothing in his class. So one of my friends was playing around on his computer, and came across a blog. He writes it.
Now I think it would be pretty neat to keep up with my teacher's life, considering he's the coolest below 40 year old adult in the world, but I'm not going to.
Wanna know why?
I don't think he'd want us to be reading it. There's a certain line between teacher to student and friend to friend. Yes, I think our teacher is awesome. Yes, he loves our class. But I think reading that blog would cross that fine line, and completely break down what it is important for a teacher to have in a relationship with his students.
Yes, he's an awesome teacher. No, I will not read his blog.

I agree. I think that once a student graduates, then MAYBE they can treat their old teachers as friends. But as a future teacher, I definitely think it's important to maintain a certain level of professionalism in the relationship of student to teacher. There should be a certain amount of respect. :)
